Fire Circles
Humans have been gathering around fires since the beginning of civilization. Sacred fires are a time to gather, to honor the gifts of the fire, and to slow down. In the fire’s presence, we connect, share, find silence, feel witnessed, tell jokes or stories, drum or sing songs. People of all faiths (or no faith) are welcome. People of all ages are welcome. This is a time to calm, reflect, explore and be in community with the simple, but powerful, experience of sitting with the fire.
Women’s Virtual Fire Circles
After hosting women's fires in our tipi for more than twenty years, I began hosting the fire on-line during the COVID pandemic. We have continued this practice and meet monthly with our candles lit and our hearts open. Being in a circle of women, guided by the flames of our candles and the fire of our hearts, we open to the feminine wisdom each one of us holds. As women, we need to connect deeply, nourish ourselves and support one another. Time by the fire feeds us, teaches us and moves us toward transformation.
